From June 10–12, 2026, Petfair Vietnam 2026 took place at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) in Ho Chi Minh City. The event brought together manufacturers, distributors, importers, retailers, and pet industry professionals from Vietnam and around the world.

As a Vietnamese manufacturer and exporter of pet products, TOP VIET BRANDS had the opportunity to attend the exhibition, reconnect with industry friends and partners, and gain valuable insights into the latest market trends.

Valuable Connections Across the Industry

One of the most rewarding aspects of Petfair Vietnam 2026 was the opportunity to meet colleagues, industry friends, manufacturers, and business partners from both domestic and international markets.

Throughout the three day event, we had many productive discussions about market trends, product development, sourcing opportunities, export requirements, and the changing needs of pet owners around the world.

These conversations provided valuable perspectives and reinforced the importance of collaboration as the pet industry continues to evolve.

Key Trends We Observed at Petfair Vietnam 2026

From our perspective, this year's exhibition showcased a wider range of products and suppliers compared to previous editions.

One of the strongest product categories at the event was cat litter. Many Chinese manufacturers presented extensive product portfolios, including bentonite cat litter, tofu cat litter, soybean based litter, activated carbon litter, and other innovative solutions designed to improve odor control and clumping performance.

Another category that attracted significant attention was pet toys.

We noticed a growing variety of toy designs, materials, and functions. Many products focused on enhancing interaction between pets and owners, encouraging physical activity, reducing stress, and supporting natural behaviors. The increasing emphasis on pet enrichment reflects a broader trend toward improving the overall well being of companion animals.

Beyond products for dogs and cats, the exhibition also featured solutions for birds, small animals, reptiles, and other niche pet categories, highlighting the growing diversity of the pet industry.

Vietnam's Pet Industry Continues to Grow

Based on what we observed at Petfair Vietnam 2026, Vietnam's pet industry continues to show strong growth potential.

More families are treating pets as members of the family, leading to increased spending on food, toys, accessories, healthcare products, and pet related services. At the same time, the expansion of ecommerce, modern pet retail chains, and specialized pet stores is making high quality products more accessible to consumers across the country.

Vietnam is no longer viewed only as an emerging consumer market. It is also becoming an increasingly attractive manufacturing destination thanks to its skilled workforce, competitive production capabilities, and access to natural raw materials.

These factors create significant opportunities for Vietnamese companies to strengthen their position within the global pet supply chain.

Growing Demand for Natural and Eco-Friendly Pet Products

One of the most important trends we continue to see is the growing demand for natural and environmentally friendly pet products.

Consumers in Europe, North America, South Korea, Japan, and other developed markets are increasingly looking for products that are safe for pets, sustainably sourced, and environmentally responsible.

This trend creates a unique opportunity for Vietnam.

With abundant natural resources such as coffee wood, coconut fiber, water hyacinth, bamboo, rattan, and other agricultural materials, Vietnamese manufacturers are well positioned to develop distinctive pet products that align with global sustainability trends.

Products such as coffee wood dog chews, coconut fiber toys, water hyacinth pet accessories, and handmade natural enrichment products are attracting growing interest from international buyers. These products not only meet consumer demand for sustainable alternatives but also showcase the creativity and craftsmanship of Vietnamese manufacturers.

From our experience working with international partners, we believe that natural pet products will remain one of the most promising growth segments in the years ahead.

Looking Ahead

Petfair Vietnam 2026 was more than just a trade exhibition. It was an opportunity to exchange ideas, build relationships, and gain a deeper understanding of where the pet industry is heading.

From what we observed during the event, the future of Vietnam's pet industry remains highly promising, particularly for companies focused on innovation, sustainability, and export oriented growth.

At TOP VIET BRANDS, we look forward to working with partners around the world to bring high quality, responsibly produced pet products from Vietnam to international markets.
